Many months ago, in August, my family and I went on a trip to one of the most beautiful places here in the Philippines – Coron, Palawan. Blessed with jaw-dropping scenery, we got to experience the wonders of Coron Island. To top it off, it was my birthday!
We stayed at the Coron EcoLodge and booked a tour. The tour guides were super friendly, accomodating and knowledgeable. There were lots of activities in the tour. We climbed up hundreds of steps to see the view over Mt. Tapyas and then soaked in the warm water of Maquinit Hot Spring to ease our aching muscles. We also got to swim in the crystal blue Kayangan lake, the most photographed area in Coron and in the Twin Lagoon which was a mix of fresh and sea water. We also found Nemo! We went snorkeling and had the opportunity to see corals – a feat for me because I don’t know how to swim.
Despite there being some weather disturbances on our last day there, and we didn’t get to go to the safari, it was still an amazing trip.
